The National Will Register
The National Will Register is pleased to announce that APS members can now Register a Will or Search for a Will via this dedicated web portal.
The National Will Register has registered millions of Wills. On peak days 1 Will is registered every 2 seconds. On a daily basis our Will search services prevents estates being distributed on an assumed intestacy basis, and avoids a superseded Will being used.
Our services are now widely recognised as best practice, and important to the APS members who are focused to protect the client. With this in mind APS now provides its’ members with free Will Registration for their clients.
The availability of these services ensure that APS clients can now be protected through the provision of services provided by APS, in association with the National Will Register.
What do we do?
Our main objectives are:
1. to ensure that a person’s Will is not overlooked, lost or untraced following his or her death;
2. to ensure, as far as possible, a Will is administered in accordance with the testator’s wishes;
3. to provide a national search for registered and unregistered Wills.
Therefore it is essential that loved ones know where the very latest and up to date Will the Client has made is held. This means that whether the Will is needed now, or in 30 years time, Will registration records and tracks the location of the Will so that it can be found.
